We the People Reuniting
Quarter Millennia Block Party
July 4, 2026
On July 4, 2026, the United States turns 250.
That date matters.
INQUIRE NOWThe Core Idea
A nationwide, grassroots celebration of 250 years of freedom, celebrated by Citizens of the United States (COTUS)
No politicians.
No parties.
No speakers chasing applause.
Only citizens show up for each other.
If someone wants to argue, redirect.
Ask them about their family.
Ask them what brought them to the neighborhood.
Ask what they hope their kids inherit.
Front yards.
Church parking lots.
School fields.
Closed streets.
If people live there, they can host it.
What we are celebrating
- 250 years of freedom
- The fact that we still share a country
- The fact that we still share neighborhoods
- The fact that Citizens of the US still run the country.
- This is not about agreeing.
- This is about showing up.\
- Show that “COTUS” still means something.
The simple plan
Pick one role.
Host
You choose a place and time.
You invite people.
You set the tone.
- Food: grill, potluck, or snacks
- Music: keep it background
- Seating: bring chairs
- Kids: chalk, bubbles, wiffle ball
- Tone: friendly, respectful, calm
Bring something
Show up with one item.
- A side dish
- Drinks
- Plates and napkins
- A game
- An extra lawn chair
Help a host
Somebody on your street will want to do this but feel overwhelmed.
Offer one specific job.
- “I can print flyers.”
- “I can bring tables.”
- “I can run the kids' games."
- “I can handle trash bags and cleanup.”
A simple script for inviting people
Keep it clean. Keep it human.
“Hey, we’re doing a neighborhood get-together on July 4, 2026, to celebrate 250 years of America.
No politics. Food and neighbors. Want to come?”
The tone
we want
You do not need a big program.
You need a shared moment.
- Warm
- Respectful
- Normal
- Neighbor to neighbor
What success looks like
- People show up who would not normally talk
- Kids play while adults laugh
- Someone feels less alone in their own town
- People leave with at least one new relationship
- Neighbors discover neighbors
If you want
to host
Start small.
Ten homes are plenty.
Pick a time window that works.
- 2 to 5 pm
- 4 to 7 pm
- 6 to 9 pm
If your city allows street closures, great.
If not, do it on a driveway or yard.
7:00 PM. One Pledge.
On July 4, 2026, as we mark 250 years as a nation, we invite every neighborhood gathering to share a unified moment.
At 7:00 PM local time, pause and recite the Pledge of Allegiance together.
- Front yards.
- Parks.
- Church parking lots.
- Closed streets.
Same words. Same hour. Across time zones.
- No speeches.
- No politics.
- No commentary.
A few minutes before 7:00 PM, gather everyone.
- Face the flag if you have one.
- Place your hand over your heart.
- Say the Pledge together.
- Then return to food, conversation, and celebration.
Set a reminder for 6:55 PM.
At 7:00 PM, we stand together.
The Message
We do not need to agree to belong.
We do not need permission to reconnect.
We do not need leaders to remember who we are.
The country does not heal on social media.
It heals around tables.
